I finally have my outdoor patio completed! WOHOOOOO! It’s LITERALLY been a whole process. I am so happy that I have finished it in time to share with all of you! My patio is my favorite spot in the house. Coming up with a theme was honestly more difficult than I initially thought. I ended up going with a slight boho theme.

Outdoor Furniture

The outdoor furniture that I have is from HomeGoods. It’s made from the company Nautica. I purchased this set after lockdown started opening up initially in 2020 and I was able to snatch the furniture set for only $1400. Its honestly a really good deal because this specific style outdoor furniture is actually quite expensive and ranges from $2,000-$4,000. I love this set because it has three end tables that makes it more convenient when entertaining. The outdoor chairs set and their table I bought from HomeGoods as well and was only $150. It is also from the company Nautica.

I kind of mixed and matched the furniture sets because the colors all tie-in together. I love that they have light wood detailing which is actually very “IN” right now. They all fit perfectly under the pergola I have.

Pergola

The pergola is custom made and is actually built into the floor. This is honestly a splurge we decided to make on the house because it added value to our home, and we were able to choose the size we wanted. I definitely recommend getting this done custom because it can last a lot longer because of the wood used to build it. I know that it can get pricey and it is a good thing they sell similar types you can put together. I know Costco and Amazon sell them especially during the summertime.

Lighting

Remember when I said that lighting is everything in a backyard? Well, trust me you can tell I follow that rule 100%. The main chandelier is actually purchased from Costco about two years ago, but there are very similar ones on Amazon. I LOVE this chandelier because its simple and provides really good lighting foe the space.

I had also purchased string lights from Costco that we nailed around the pergola. Amazon has very similar ones If you cannot access the Costco ones and those ones are really great too!

The landscaping that is done in the backyard also has lighting. I have done a previous blog post going into detail of how we were able to design that area of the backyard.

Throw Pillows

AHHH!! The throw pillows, this process gave me a headache. Usually I know what I want and I just go and get the stuff, but this time I was totally stumped. I knew I wanted yellow because I wanted something bright and airy for the space. I tried to match so many different pillows and I just didn’t like them.

I ended up having a it more of a struggle because I wanted to buy them from HomeGoods because they have outdoor pillows that are very affordable and I didn’t really want to spend to much on the pillows in case they fade. Which they are “UV Resistant” but honesty I had outdoor pillows before as well and they really did not handle the sun that well and faded pretty dramatically. I am crossing my fingers that these do not fade because I LOVE them. The reason I had so much trouble was because every time I like a pillow, I couldn’t find 4 of the same ones.

Finally, after probably 7 trips I ended up finding everything I needed. I bought these two-sided yellow pillows from HomeGoods. These matched perfectly because they are slightly boho patterned especially for that color of yellow. Its almost like a mustard yellow but a bit brighter. I placed these on the two on each corner of each sofa and had one on the white side and one on the yellow side. I placed these other boho pillows on the chairs and they are different, but they have the mustard color yellow, cream, pink, and blue which perfectly tie it all together.

Coffee Table and End Table Decor

On The coffee table I wanted to keep it simple. I wanted something that I can easily remove when guest come, and I can place the food with ease.

I started off by placing a wooden lazy Susan. This way I can place my décor items on top and just pick the whole thing up all at once. I placed a yellow candle and next to it a small planter with a wooden base. I picked up this planter from Marshalls and its perfect because it matches the planters on the end tables. I placed some small flowers in the planter. In front of the planter is a perfectly matched Tommy Bahama outdoor box. In this box you can place the T.V remote or even simple place in some napkins.

On the end tables I placed matching planters to the coffee table. These are a bit larger and I planted the same type of flowers. On the center end table between the two couches I placed a lantern and inside is the same yellow candle that is on the coffee table. Lastly, on the table between the chairs I placed a large yellow planter that matches perfectly and ties in the colors. I planted some greenery and flowers in this planter.

Large Planters

I love large planters when they are placed next to the corners of the Pergola. It adds so much freshness and greenery. I had these planters and decided to place them under the pergola. In these planters I planted a Snake Plant. Its perfect because its low maintenance and adds greenery.

The Completed Look

This is basically the completed look, and it is absolutely beautiful. The grass wall fence in the back I have also made a blog post on and I will link it here on how to recreate that!!!
