Today we will be talking about how to style your built-in bookshelves!!
You can style bookshelves in many different ways. You can place books, figures, vases, paintings, succulents, etc.
The colors I used for these builtins are black, gold, silver, white, and Fuschia.
I love to just simply decorate them instead of placing books.
I’ll be honest we don’t read much 🙂
My fireplace and tv and are placed inside the wall to give a flushed and even look.
The stonework for the quartz was done by an amazing local company called State Stone Work Inc.
If you are looking for stonework in the San Diego area, State Stone Work inc. is one to go by.
This is a great look for the fireplace and its easy to clean.
The material is a calacatta quartz material. This is a beautiful modern material!!!
For the builtins, I decided to do a mirror effect so both sides are the same.
For the large builtins On the top one, I placed a beautiful vase with some flowers and a large marble effect candle. The flowers are from Michaels and they are called forsythia branch.
I also placed a painting that I made using the dutch pour method.

Next row down I placed two candle holders with black candles and a middle bird figurine.
The birds below are not the exact ones I had purchased. The ones that I had purchased are from Pier 1 and unfortunately, they are going out of business. These are a great modern alternative!!!

Lastly, on the bottom shelf, I placed the succulent holder. I had made a post about how to make it. I will place a link to it below!!!

It is very easy to decorate your builtins. There are thousands of ways to do it and hopefully, this inspires you to decorate your builtins.
